Since the introduction of our sustainability program and "Vornado Goes Green" logo over a year ago, we have accomplished a substantial amount, including over 10 Energy Star awards, 2 LEED EB certifications (3 more expected shortly), and the launch of our tenant Energy Information Portal. So from "going green" to a full commitment to sustainable operations, we are pleased to unveil "Vornado Sustainability".
Additionally you may see "Green Thinking" on our collateral. This is our way of encouraging everyone to join in our eco-conscious efforts. Many of our accomplishments go hand-in-hand with the dedication and cooperation of our forward thinking tenants!
We are committed to ensuring that each property in our portfolio achieves the highest standards of performance, paricularly in terms of energy performance and air quality. Several tenants have joined us in these efforts, including AOL, Cushman & Wakefield and Geller with their LEED CI spaces, and others, like the Limited Brands, have made significant reductions in their energy usage by using our Energy Information Portal.
We welcome your efforts and input in our efforts. For more information about what we can do all together to reduce our collective carbon footprint, please email us at: sustainability@vno.com.

(FREE!) ENERGY INFORMATION PORTAL TRAINING FOR TENANTS
As part of Vornado's commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate responsibility, we are actively working to conserve energy, reduce our carbon footprint, and engage our staff and tenants in this process throughout our portfolio.
To this end, in 2009, Vornado launched its proprietary Energy Information Portal (EIP), a web-based tool through which submetered tenants have access to their electricity bill, as well as their energy usage profiles and data. We are reaching out to our tenants to introduce them to the EIP and encourage them to develop ways to reduce their energy consumption. With an increased awareness of their real-time energy consumption, tenants will be able to make minor operational changes and monitor this impact through the EIP. We want our tenants to become active participants in our energy conservation efforts which will ultimately result in energy and cost savings to them.
Just this past year, one of our tenants was able to shed 15% of their electrical consumption simply by adjusting the temperature settings in their conference rooms, changing their auto light-timer on/off settings for weekday and weekend times, and shutting down specific areas of lighting in their space. Their reduction in energy consumption resulted in an annual savings of approximately $150,000 in electrical expenses.
We are offering free demonstration and training of the EIP for tenants who are interested in learning more. To set up an appointment, please send us an email at: sustainability@vno.com.
770 Broadway
CONGRATULATIONS!
Vornado has received our first LEED EB certifications in New York at 770 Broadway and 330 Madison!
770 Broadway has received a LEED EB Silver rating! This land marked building covers an entire city block at 9th Street between Broadway and 4th Avenue, and was able to achieve its rating as a result of its excellent energy performance, and through the efforts of its tenants.
330 Madison received a LEED EB Certified rating! This base building certification is an effort to implement LEED policies through the building's major renovation project (currently in progress). Upon completion of the property's upgrade, we are striving for an even higher level of LEED Certification.
